Print, Broadcast, and Online Publications
51³Ô¹ÏÍø alumni, parents, and friends can stay connected to campus life at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø through a variety of different student media -- from newspapers and literary journals to internet ratio and webzines.
Catch
Catch is 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's biannual magazine of the creative arts, and is the longest running, continuously published college literary magazine in the country. Catch has won top national honors from the Association of Writers and Writing Programs and Magazine Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press. An annual subscription to Catch is $25. Request a subscription.
Cellar Door
Cellar Door began in 2006, and issues aim to include not only student work but also that of professors and a well-known writer from the literary world outside of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. The only requirement for publication in Cellar Door is love on the writer's part of his or her own work and their desire to discuss it with other students to improve it. This is an innovative editorial process of which 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is the first undergraduate college to have embraced.
An online journal of literary criticism operated by the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø English Department, The Common Room posts new essays three times a year.
The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Student
The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Student is the college's official student newspaper. Published weekly, TKS has been student-written, student-run, and student-read since 1878. It has a long tradition of being an independent voice for students, reporting on the cultural, social and athletic life of the college. An annual subscription is $60. Request a subscription.
WVKC 90.7 FM
WVKC—The Voice of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø—is a commercial-free radio station broadcasting to the world via a live stream from campus. WVKC features music, student and public service programming, and National Public Radio's Morning Edition.
Quiver
Quiver began as an online publication focusing on just three genres: children's literature, humor, and speculative fiction. In spring 2013, Quiver published the first print version of the magazine. Since then, it has opened up the magazine for all genres -- romance, comedy, drama, you name it! Quiver is released twice a year.
