Reporting an Emergency

In an emergency, call 911 (not 3-911).

Call 911 for any situation that requires immediate police, fire, or medical response to preserve life or property.

You can also use any outdoor blue light phone to report a campus emergency.

For emergencies that do not require immediate police, fire, or medical response, contact Campus Safety at (309) 341-7979, or dial 7979 from any campus phone.

Contacting a Student on Campus

You may call the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Switchboard (309) 341-7000. Parents are encouraged to make an emergency contact plan with their student before an emergency happens. In an emergency, please do not call campus—updates will be posted on the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø website.

Campus Alerts

All student, faculty and staff should register for Campus Alerts. This service provides phone and email notification in an emergency. Campus alerts and updates are posted to the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø website.
