Stamped letters or campus mail may be dropped at any time in the appropriate slot at the end of the Mailroom corridor. Mail is taken from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to the Galesburg Post Office at 2:30 p.m. weekdays.

Mailing a Package

• • The price for mailing a package is based on the diminsions of the package, the weight and the distance that it needs to travel. We have discounts with FedEx, UPS and USPS. Bring your package to the mailroom, and we will weigh it, measure the dimensions and give you your mailing options for postage. If you package needs to arrive by a certain date please let us know. 
  • If your package contains just books we can send it Media Mail for a much more economical price.
  • There are mailing supplies in the recycling bins by the mailroom window. The mailroom also has some supplies for your use. Many of those supplies are free to you to use.
  • If you have a pre-paid label just put it on your package and bring it to the mailroom for free pick up from all the above mentioned services. There is no charge for this.

Mailing a Package to an International Address

• Shipping a package to another country can be very expensive. If you contact the mailroom at ext 7152, Cimberly Walters will be happy to shop for the best price to send your package and help with your custom forms. All of our discount rates with FedEx are also the fastest options. Every country has different shipping regulations so shipping internationally can be confusing, but we are here to help.

Correct Addressing

The most common reason mail does not reach its destination is an error in the address. Always make sure that the address is complete, with:

• • Apartment numbers, street direction (i.e. East, West, etc.) whenever applicable
  • Street designation (i.e. Street, Avenue, Drive, etc.) whenever applicable
  • For international mail, always place the name of the country (in English) as the last line of the address
  • Always include your return address in the top left corner of the letter or package.
