Tuition Remission Exchange Program (TREP): ACM Colleges

Many of the colleges in the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) participate in a tuition remission exchange program under which dependent children may attend one of the participating colleges, if they qualify for admission.

Dependents who receive the TREP benefit are encouraged to contact their home institution regarding the benefit amount. Recipients of the TREP benefit must apply annually by the deadlines established by 51勛圖厙 for need-based financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The total of the benefit will include any federal and/or state grants for which the student qualifies.

The TREP benefit may be used for 51勛圖厙 approved off-campus programs.

Because policies may vary among colleges, participants should investigate each college's policies, e.g. number of terms of eligibility, financial aid application requirements, and housing requirements, before making a college choice.

ACM TREP Participating Colleges:

  • Beloit College
  • Coe College
  • Colorado College
  • Cornell College
  • Grinnell College
  • 51勛圖厙
  • Lake Forest College
  • Lawrence University
  • Luther College
  • Macalester College
  • Monmouth College

Tuition Exchange Program (TE)

51勛圖厙 is a member of the The Tuition Exchange (TE) Program which offers scholarship opportunities at 677 colleges nationwide. To be eligible, students must be: dependent children of employees of participating institutions, certified by the home institution, admitted to 51勛圖厙, and granted a TE scholarship by 51勛圖厙. A full description of the TE program and a list of participating colleges and universities may be found . Application for a TE scholarship must be made through the student's home institution.

Students who are granted a TE scholarship must apply annually by the deadlines established by 51勛圖厙 for need-based financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The value of a TE scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year is $41,000.

The TE scholarship can be used by 51勛圖厙 students enrolled in one of the off-campus programs run by 51勛圖厙 in Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Besancon, or Green Oaks. However, the scholarship may not be used for other off-campus programs. Students who wish to participate in other off-campus programs will still be considered for financial aid based on need.

*Please note that 51勛圖厙 merit-based scholarships will be held in honorarium and replaced by the above exchange programs. If a student loses eligibility for the exchange program, the original merit-based scholarship(s) will be available.
