SHAG is geared toward educating students about all aspects of health and well-being, from STDs and breast cancer to anxiety and eating disorders. SHAG believes that every student must be familiar with his or her health and body.

The largest service provided by SHAG is the Condom Hotline. Through this hotline, students can anonymously request:

  • Male condoms (latex, non-latex, vegan)
  • Female condoms
  • Dental dams
  • Lubricants

Requests can now also be .

While this service is widely used by campus, it is far from the only thing SHAG brings to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Past events

  • Invited Dan Savage, a well-known sex columnist, to speak and engage in a Q&A with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students
  • Hosted de-stress events, such as group meditation open to campus
  • Coordinated Health & Wellness Week
  • Offered free HIV Testing with Planned Parenthood
  • Showed a screening of Orgasm Inc., a film directed by Liz Canner
  • Planned trips to the Galesburg Farmer's Market to support local food while encouraging students to make healthier food choices

SHAG meets every week in Alumni Hall and is open to everyone.
